Thunderstorm- Here's To You

Did someone say Thunderstorm..?  ::)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbnIYWwsZVM

This was a minor hit in The Netherlands. It didn't make Dutch Top 40.

Not sure if were talking about the same band here, although it seems unlikely there were two 10-man bands of the same name around at the same time, making the same kind of music. So here's a fun fact: Thunderstorm were a Dutch band.

No, I don't think so. I think we're talking about the same band, although at this point I can't be 100% sure.

Midnight Star did have a whole handful of hits, but there was another piece to their story that many may not know is connected:  In 1987, founding members Vince and Reggie Calloway left the group and formed a duo under the name Calloway.  You may remember their very popular 1990 song I Wanna Be Rich which charted higher than any Midnight Star song ever did!

I've just found confirmation that we ARE talking about the same band.

Thunderstorm only released five singles: "Hey You Get Ready (Red Light's On)" (1981), "Funky Grandpa" (1981), "Here's To You" (1981), "Let Me Be The One" (1983) and "Family Affair" (1984).
