1989 is my favourite year for movies ever, but Back to the Future Part II is for sure my #1 choice for the year. It drastically fleshes out the universe of an already great movie, it takes even further advantage of its time travel theme while still taking the science of it seriously, the sets are wonderlands of replayability, and the film’s structure is unique and fresh while still being naturally flowing throughout its course. Truth be told, it is the best movie of all time, in my opinion.

Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure

This commercial would never exist if Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure bombed in the box office:

Third vote for Uncle Buck - love John Candy.

I also really like Steel Magnolias and I remember Ghostbusters II being quite good. Not seen it since back in the day though.

It was the last year of the Slasher boom of the late 1970's and 1980's. By 1990, the horror genre was in disarray. However, by 1989, there were already signs of the genre decaying.
