Subject: Why were the 80's the most playful decade?

Just to name a few! Why was it so hard to take anything seriously during the 80's? It seems to have been lighthearted and joke.
We had: world peace, cures, climate - all successes but not really celebrated, Why?
Everything had to be neon and drawn. And no computers? Why not?
I wish we could go back and relive it. Because it was always fun, and no drama.
I nominate this to be a highlighted topic on the main page.

What did you fix? It was perfect. I proofread it 11 times, as I do with evry post, checking metickulessly for errors, before postng them!

Personally, the 80's was a fun decade for me since I spent mostly the entire decade as a '20-something' :D

Not so - there were a lot of serious topics on our minds in the 80's (e.g. AIDS, Russian tensions, Street gangs, drugs). It was still fun, though.

I'm pretty sure this was a 90's phenomenon :-\\

I pumped a lotta quarters into our campus student union's Ms. Pacman game! ;D (Only to be exceeded by the quarters I spent playing Pole Position...)
...And no computers? Why not?...
We didn't have the technology! (Seriously, there were plenty of computers around - but by and large the good ones weren't 'personal')
...I wish we could go back and relive it...
Me too! Especially if I could be 20-something again ;)
