What are some things that scared you from the years 1987 to 1989?
Here’s my top 10 list:
1) Pee Wee’s Playhouse

One human alone cooped up in that large house with living objects all day long. :o
2) ALF

ALF’s eyes were black. Nuff said.
3)Freddy Krueger
I thought he clawed people’s brains out in every movie.
4) Mac from Mac and Me
The color and odd facial features.
5) My Pet Monster
That doll looked like it could gobble you up just by looking at you.
6) Beetlejuice
A dead man who scares living beings nonstop.
7) Chucky
I saw the VHS cover of this doll with a knife and that’s all I needed to know.
8 )My Buddy & Kid Sister
See reason 7
9) Inhumanoids
The monsters they fought were terrifying. Glad I’m not an Inhumanoid fighter.
10) Kids in the Transformers commercials
It’s a good thing Transformers don’t exist in real life. :o

There were definitely some creepy things around in the late 80s. PeeWee Herman definitely being one of them.
I remember my roommate at school used to play the Beetlejuice soundtrack late at night - that really freaked me out.
I mean hearing this in bed at midnight... wtf!?

Legend of the Michigan dogman. Halloween 1987. I was in 6th grade. This freaked me out big time.
It’s still big around here and I look forward to hearing it on Halloween now.

....and ventriloquist dolls: Charlie McCarthy, Lester, and Bozo the Clown...and that late '70s movie "Magic" about the ventriloquist dummy, which scared the crap out of me when I watched it on TV.
