Another Pepsi product I actually liked, and they took this one away, too! Didn't they stop making this in around 1992? I remember liking it when I was like, 4..

Just like New Coke, a good idea deferred by bad taste. The Original Crystal Pepsi made me nearly puke. And the diet was even worst. The tried to changed the taste to a more citris like taste, and I liked it better. But not enough to displace the irreplaceable dark libation. :D

To me, it tasted like mineral oil, and I did take mineral oil. It wasn't pleasant. :P

Clear drinks with coloured jelly lumps? Yep, but I was never really sure if they were cool or disgusting.
Weren't there other clear drinks too? I think I recall cream soda existing, but I hope I'm wrong, that stuff just has to be pink.

I collected one of each flavor/color and still have them unopened! :D They were pretty weird to drink, bordering on disgusting because you could feel the lumps going down your throat. :P

You remember Pepsi Clear? That was a bad idea that went the way it should have.
My only experiance with Pepsi Clear came about the winter of '93, I was flying out of St Paul Island (in the middle of the f'ing Bering Sea) during a crab fishing season and my flight actually left 90 minutes early (and before I got there) because... well, it could. I was stuck in that village for a night and after checking into a room at the inn, tiny bed, thin mattress, bathroom down the hall, I went to the supply store. St. Paul isn't along normal trade lines and only accessabel by flight and ship so choice is not an option. The only item left in the cooler was a six pack of Pepsi Clear.
I bought one can and luckily had a pint of rum to wash it down with.
Ahh memories...

RIGHT NOW Crystal Pepsi is a dim, dark memory to be laughed at and quickly banished from conscious thought.

I agree, its way too sweet and waaay under-carbonated. Always tastes flat to me.
And speaking of Crystal Clear Pepsi, yuuuuuck! I drank that for the first time in jr high and it tasted like salty syrup. Kids used to "sneak" it in to school and tell teachers it was water. At the time it seemed cool, but now looking back, man it was really lame! LOL

That empty store on St. Paul Island was probalby the last place on earth that still had that nasty stuff Pepsi Clear. Hell, there maybe still one can left there.
Somethings are not meant to be transpartent, a cola drink definately falls in that catagory.

I remember there was a shampoo that was marketed "clear" awhile back, don't see it now. Clear does not make it clean and natural, a little dye does some good.

I didn't like Crystal Pepsi..I was working in a department store at the time it came out and it definately never flew off the shelves from what I can remember.
I was in one of the pubs over here during the summer and a man was telling me that the Guinness factory in Ireland had produced a limited edition clear stout not too long ago and he said it tasted all right. Now, I don't know about everyone else, but I don't think I'd try a clear beer!
