Subject: 60s in the 90s

Written By: The Skuz on 07/18/02 at 03:23 p.m.

Okay, I started this message on the '80's board, and as I promised now I'm starting it here.

This is my list of 1990's bands that sounded like they were from the 1960's;

The Screaming Trees: "Nearly Lost You."
Barenaked Ladies: "It's All Been Done."
April March: "No Parachute."
Bricks: "Spy Kitty."
Lazy: A lot of the stuff they did.
Frente!: "Labour of Love"

And there's still a whole bunch I don't remember, but I know I should. So like the one on the '80's board, I'm leaving this to you.

;D

Because, I am The Skuz.

;D :P

Now that you mentioned it, I thing "Big Bang Baby," sounds more like a 60's song than most of their hits. So does a lot of Lush's songs(both '80's and '90's), as well as the first two CD's by Blur. And if you want to talk about remakes, Ultra Vivid Scene's cover of The Beatles "Strawberry Field" is far more psychedelic than the original.

Come on, everyone. Send more.

This probably fits more into 60's in the 80's---- Strawberry Switchblades "Since Yesterday" sounds very 60's to me.

"You Get What You Give" by New Radicals sounds like something from the late 1960's or early 1970's myself.
