Subject: Help with mid nineties song

Written By: feldy32000 on 12/22/02 at 08:37 a.m.

I am looking for a song from a band that was popular in the mid nineties.

The lyrics  include something like  "jesus second coming kicked his ass" something like that.

Another part is something like  "hey hey, goodbye.  ___ ____ is going to die.."

I know this is a tall order but any help would be great!

thanks,

That's "Tomorrow, Wendy" by CONCRETE BLONDE (from "Bloodletting).  Here's the lyrics:

It is complete now - two ends of time
are neatly tied
A one-way street, she's walking to the
end of the line
And there she meets the faces she sees in
her heart and mind

They say - goodbye - tomorrow Wendy's
going to die
Underneath the chilly grey November sky
we can make believe
that Kennedy is still alive
We're shooting for the moon and smiling
Jackie's driving by

They say - good try -
tomorrow Wendy's going to die
I told the priest - don't count on
any second coming.
God got his ass kicked the first time he
came down here slumming
He had the balls to come, the gall to die
and then forgive us -
No, I don't wonder why
I wonder what he thought
it would get us - hey hey, good try -
Tomorrow Wendy's going to die

I can't remember if the lyrics were written by Andy Prieboy (lead singer of Wall of Voodoo) or not, but there version of this song where he sings the main verses and the Johnette Napolitano sings the chorus.

Andy Prieboy wrote the song, and played keyboards.  This alternate version you mentioned sounds interesting...
