Subject: Weezer albums

Written By: FunkyFresh on 03/29/03 at 09:17 p.m.

Hey guys, I had a quick question for those of you who really follow this band.

The only album I've ever really listened to by them is The Blue Album, their first one.  I know I should be more of fan. ;D Basically what I'm looking to do is update my vinyl collection by buying that one and one of their later albums.  I've already had designs on buying the Island In the Sun single, but that's about it.  I know most, if not all of their stuff has been released on wax.  If you could buy one, which would it be?  Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Ben

I don't know what record this is on, but their song "Hash Pipe" rocks!

(funny tidbit:  On the radio here they edited the song to say "Half Pipe" cuz you know "HASH" is such a dirty word)  ::)

My favorite song by Weezer would have to be "Jaimie", from the DGC Rarities compilation.

Hash Pipe is a damn good song.  That's funny they changed it to Half, I think the craziest edit I've heard was on Rage Against The Machine's Killing In The Name Of...You know he's dropping f bombs left and right, just let it go or don't even play it in the first place....

Jamie is a cool song too, I have that compliation, one of the better ones I've heard.  I think Beck and Nirvana are on it also.

The Beck tune is called Bogusflow, and when I first heard it I couldn't stop laughing. I agree it's the best compilation i've ever heard.

Yeah, that's a good CD. I like Pay To Play even better than Stay Away. Bogusflow is a cool song.
