Subject: Best and Worst 90s Sitcoms

Written By: Indy Gent on 06/13/03 at 05:18 p.m.

What were some of your favorite and least favorite 90s sitcoms? This may have been asked before, but I want to get an idea about what comedies you like best. I'll post mine later. :)

My favourite would be....Father Ted, Drop The Dead Donkey, Roseanne and Frasier.

The worst would be Seinfeld....I can't stand it, maybe i'm missing something but I don't get how people find it so funny.

My favourites would be The John Larroquette Show, and Seinfeld.

I think the worst sitcom is Suddenly Susan. :P

Father Ted and Frasier have got to be up there along with Third Rock from the Sun (Indy gent - why?). Gimme gimme gimme is a great sitcom as well. If you can call it a sitcom 'The Royle Family' is brill as well. Drew Carey show is great - There was an episode about thanksgiving that cracked me up!

As for least favourite, What about Joan?, Just shoot me and Grace under fire.

The best was Full House... at least that's what I thought when I was five years old.  I can't really think of the best ones right now.

The worst was definitely Roseanne.   :P :P

I remember a sitcom starring Russ Abbot called 'Married for life' in the early 90s. It was supposed to be a British remake of 'Married with children'. It bombed badly - it was awful!

Best: "The Adventures of Pete & Pete".  :D Okay, it's not really a standard sitcom, but it's funny as heck and it's a half-hour. So there.

Worst: I absolutely can't STAND "Friends" or anybody on it.  :P

There are 5,000 other horrible shows but I don't have time now.  ;)

Sleazy and overrated, as is "The Sopranos" and "Sex And The City". In fact any series on HBO is either overrated or Arli$$. :P

Yeah what happened to her and what happened to Rachel too? Its like one day Judy and Rachel were there and than one day they just dissapeared. I remember that episode when Eddie and Waldo were trying to see R&B singer Tracie Spencer. Waldo went through the hotel window. I remember that one episode too when R&B Singer Johnny Gill sung to Laura too.

I liked:
Grace Under Fire
Soul Man
Boston Common

Why is it that shows I really liked always ended up getting cancelled after a season or two.  >:(

Some lasted a bit longer like:
Spin City
Third Rock from the Sun (which got a bit ridiculous after awhile)
Home Improvement
Sabrina the Teenage Witch

The shows that I can't stand seem to go on forever.

Seinfeld
Rosanne
Family Matters

Cat

In real life Jaimee Foxworth (Judy) has appeared in half a dozen porn movies under the name "Crave". She has appeared in movies like Sugarwalls 29 and Peeping Tom 28. I could post a link to the full story, but the pictures on the site aren't appropriate.

Oh yeah, her parents were demanding that the producers pay her more money for her work on Family Matters, instead they just removed the character. Just easier that way.

The best was Seinfeld - the 90's wouldn't have been the same without it.

Friends was fantastic up until the middle of series 4. As soon as Emily was brought in, it started to go downhill I think. The last series started topick up a bit though.
