Worst movies:

The Mask
Romeo and Juliet (With Leonardo Dicaprio)
Can't hardly wait

Any teen movie from the late 90s
The Home Alone sequels
Jerry Maguire
Shakespeare in Love
The Piano
(Those last three were VERY overrated, IMO. The only good thing about the Piano was when Holly Hunter's character gets her finger cut off.) <---SPOILER highlight to read.

That's all I can think of for now---I'm sure I can think of more.

Yes. All the teen movies including "American Pie". I just thought they were all not very funny and predictable.

Sorry. The bad aftertaste this movie left in my mouth lasted well into the 90s, so I guess I just assumed that it was from the 90s. :)

How many of the Phantasm sequels made it into this decade?  Doesn't matter, they've continually gone further and further out there.

I really hated the Matrix.  I know almost everybody loves this movie, but I thought it was one of the worst movies ever.

I didn't stay in the theatre long enough to get the name of the movie, but it had Courtney Love in it, she was supposed to be a punk. Possibly worst 10 minutes of a movie I've ever seen.

Oh god, all of those! 'The Fifth Element' had potential until Dennis Rodman showed up. He completely spoilt that film.

there are so many shitty movies in this decade, its gonna be hard to pick the worst but i'll give it a try:

"congo" - OF COURSE. I remember it so perfectly, first day on theatres, 3 people watching it (me, my dad and this other dude.)

"godzilla" - wtf?

all movies with jim carrey. i HATE jim carrey.

"halloween: the curse of micheal myers" - no comments

"the dentist" - yeah right baby take me one more tooth.

"anaconda" - just ahah

and well there are more, but for me these are the worst i can remember now.

Anything and everything that had Paully Shore in it.
All the Bill & Ted films. (I know a lot of people love these, but they just made my IQ drop watching them).
Dirty Work (can't understand why someone keeps giving Norm McDonald "acting" work)
Bulworth (just what the hell was this movie really about? It was insulting to everyone, including Beattys own acting talent)
Each and every one of the "Problem Child" series.
Cool As Ice (don't need to explain why, I hope)
Star Wars:The Phantom Menace (Mr. Lucas PLEASE stop making prequels to the great Star Wars before you ruin it for all of us)
The Cable Guy (no not a black comedy, just creepy, REALLY creepy)
Waterworld
Batman & Robin
Spiceworld

and the winner for the worst movie of the 90's has got to be
SHOWGIRLS!

Red Rock West
Fierce Creatures
(Fish Called Wanda Cast, I was sooo disappointed)

Mr. Nanny (w/ Hulk Hogan)
Robin Hood Men In Tights

Ok, I don't remember this movie (it was that bad) but it seemed to be some drama/suspense flick with Julia Roberts as the leading character, and I watched it in the theater in late February of 1996. I think it was one of Julia Roberts' worst roles. I can barely remember the plot (I kept dozing off), but I think it had something to with her moving in to somebody's home where she was somewhat unwelcomed, and I think she was in there to work. She would find herself in these suspenseful/horrific situations, but it seemed that she would always be dreaming..... :-/

Could it be "Mary Reily"? I think that was the name. I never watched it but remember seeing the cover to the VHS at the rental store.
