Subject: 90's Music in NYC

Written By: dkope on 02/26/04 at 01:17 p.m.

Hi,

Does anyone know of any clubs in NYC that are hosting nineties nights? Also wondering if there's any bars/clubs that have 90's trivia contests or themes that relate to 90's pop culture? Thanks.

I think it might be a little too soon for that.  Probably plenty of 80s nights though...

I think it'd be cool to see something like a 90s night too, with music like grunge, alternative, gangsta rap, old school euro.

Why, have you heard of any in NY?  I'm in WA, so I'm just curious.

I've heard about a club on Long Island that does a "One night in Seattle" grunge show on Sunday nights and another club in New Jersey that does something similar. But I'm looking for something closer to home.

good question, d.  i assume you're in the city?

i sometimes spin an early 90s set (St. Etienne, KLF, Soul II Soul, Massive Attack), but I dee jay in a bar (in the east village), not a club.  If I hear of anything, I'll let you know.
