I actually hated 1994, but not because of the tunes.....  Anyway, I was never into Reggae.  I was kinda into the R and B and dance music.  I do think music got bad from 1995 until 2000.  In my opinion, that spanned the worst music!!

1994 was the suiside of Kurt Cobain and the OJ scandal.  Miss it if you want but it was  a pathetic year in many ways.

1994 was the year the New York Knicks blew the NBA Finals. John Starks going 2 for 18 on Field Goals in Game 7 against the Rockets. I' really not a Knick Fan but they are a local team and I would have loved to see win them that year.

1994 was the year of the 1st NASCAR Race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway: The Brickyard 400.

I also graduated Middle School that year too.

I liked 1994: Started High School but that was late 1994.

Live, STP, and Soundgarden all put out good music that year. Cool year. Anybody who don't like the 90's usually likes the 80's. Its a generational thing i think. I don't care for the 00's so there you go.

1994 was also the year the Baseball strike happened.

Probably because they like the 80's. Nothing wrong with that though. Like I posted before its a generational thing.

I for one thought it was a great year.  Sure, it had its downs, but doesn't every year??

Memories of 1994:
*I turned 14.
*It was when I started putting the action and fantasy elements into my comics, while still keeping with the original funny tone.  It didn't get really big until 96 though.
*Good Movies:  The Lion King, Speed(which I never saw until my senior year in 98), Forrest Gump(which I didn't see until sometime in high school), Pulp Fiction(at least I heard it was good)
*Good Music:  All Apologies, Black Hole Sun, Regulate, Circle of Life, Stay, Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm, The Sign, Longview, Shine, Fantastic Voyage, Hero, I Swear, Another Night, Can We Talk, I Get Around, etc...
*Good Games:  Final Fantasy III, Super Metroid, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Shining Force II, Phantasy Star IV, Donkey Kong Country
*Good TV:  Aladdin, Gargoyles, ER

And if you don't like 1994 or the 90s in general, don't post here ::)

It's hard to believe 1994 was actually 10 years ago.

LOL, it's funny. They hate the 90s but they always come back to post something on the 90s forum!

Keep in mind that while some people may not like the 90's, or even despise the decade, they will come back and repeatedly post in the 1990's forum for the simple fact that a lot of us were still kinda kids and "growing up" in the 90's.  I remember one of my friends hated the fact that we were so young and only around 19 back in the mid 90's, but trapped in what he felt was a really miserable and boring decade compared to the 80's.

For instance I graduated high school in 1993, so if I want to, I can claim to be a "90's kid" and it wouldn't be some kind of super outrageous stretch or lie.  But I'm pretty sure most people my age (people in their late 20's, like 27/28 or 29 year olds) prefer the 80's over the 90's, but nevertheless the early and mid 90's were important coming of age years if you will.  I remember I kinda had it with the 90's pop culture sometime around 1996 or 1997 when I was 21, I definately had it with the 90's by 1999,.....but the decade still holds fond memories for a lot of people.  Especially the early-mid 90's.

i liked 1994. i was in 4th/5th grade that year. That year Speed, The Lion King, Forrest Gump, Ace Ventura, Maverick, Stargate, The Client, and The Mask came out in theatres. The music was awesome, Aaliyah, Brandy, Boyz II Men, Notorious B.I.G., Collective Soul, Beck, Toni Braxton, Tupac, A Tribe Called Quest, TLC,  even Aerosmith and Tom Petty had hits that year. Green Day and THe Offspring put out major albums too.

Sister, Sister started that year, Boy Meets World was in its 1st/2nd season, My So-Called Life started, Living Single was in its 1st/2nd seasons too. Unfortunately DInosaurs ended that year too.

also i remember lots of people getting into gimp and pogs that year at my school

Ok, but some persons should keep in mind that whether they like it or not the 90s were the glorious years for other individuals, just like the 80s were to them.  1994 was a great year for me, and like millions of other people alot of things that were good happened that year.  Maybe to you the 90s wern't so  great because by that time you were not so young, but what about those of us who really grew up in the 90s. I don't see anyone form this board going tinto the 80s, or 00s forum to state how much we hate that decade. I think that the real purpose for these message boards is for generations to get along and discuss like grown adults that most of us are, our living experiences in each era. But... If you all disagree, then oh well.

This is my most nostalgic year of the 90's. All kinds of great movies, like Forrest Gump, The Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction, Speed, True Lies, Clerks, The Lion King, Natural Born Killers, The Ref, Dumb & Dumber, etc. Great music. Awesome year for wrestling, in my opinion. George Foreman's comeback. And of course, my first real girlfriend.  :)

yea, the Ladder Match @ Wrestlemania X, simply great. Wasn't this also the year that Bret Hart and Lex Luger both won the Royal Rumble? I remember Bret also had a really good match with Owen @ Wrestlemania X. A lot better than the match with Yokozuna.

Yeah, both Luger and Hart won the Rumble that year.
