Subject: "Ren & Stimpy": The Rise & Downfall

Remember one of the funniest, twisted cartoons of the 1990's featuring a chihauhau & cat named Ren & Stimpy"?

Some of my favorite episode were "Haunted House" with the ghost that tried to scare them. Along with "Stimpy's Invention", "Robin Hoek", "Nurse Stimpy", "Fire Dogs", and "Son Of Stimpy".

Then it became cheesy when John K. got fired.  :P

Though there was a few good episodes like "Ren's Pec's" & "Eat My Cookie's", but it wasn't the same. Plus Nickelodeon pulled a "Scrappy Doo" with the addition of Wilbur Cobb on a couple of episodes.  The jokes became bland & cheesy like most of their Nicktoons. Except for "Rocko's Modern Life", which was funny & had a couple of great episodes.

Then it gotten even worse when Spike TV (formerly TNN) aired "Ren & Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon", which the creator controlled, once again. Sounds good? Not exactly. It lacked the well written humor of "South Park" & the charm of "The Simpsons". With overly crass jokes that would make the original "Ren & Stimpy" look like "The Care Bears".  :P

Fortunately, Spike TV airs reruns, though chopped up  :P, of the classic "Ren & Stimpy".

The first year (or a little longer) it was on it was very funny! After that...it seemed to have alot of violence, & no story to it. From then on I gave up on it.
