Subject: looking for name of early 90's show

I'm looking for the name of this show that used to be on Sunday mornings after romper room. It opened with this girl who went to a family members house and she goes into the attic and finds an old chest and when she opens the chest she gets deported to another world. I think there is also a well in the other world that talks to her. If anyone can help that would be great.
