Subject: Car brand that defined the 90s:

I think 2 car brands in my opinion defined the 90's; Honda and Chrysler. Honda had had cars like the Integra(well that was under the Acura nameplate), the Civic, and Accord.

Chrysler in the mid to late 90's had the 300M, Sebring, Ram, Concorde, LHS, and the Viper.

Anybody else got any car brands that they think defined the 90's?

Interesting topic, but not sure of the context
Do you mean car brands that were good, or brands that defined the era?

For the former, then I'd say Acura & Lexus as they came to be a new dominant force in the luxury market, and forced Mercedes, BMW & Cadillac to sit up and take notice.

For the latter I'd say Hyundai, KIA & Daewoo, as they showed the next invasion of cheap (reasonably well made, but not great cars as a whole) foreign cars to the U.S. The 90's were a decade showing the maturity of the Korean carmakers, that they could complete in the U.S market, and actually contend with what was once a Japanese only domain.

IMO, the Eclipse defined the 1990's. Almost everyone seemed to have one. I remember thinking how boring it was that most people seemed to have the same exact car, a great number even had them in the same exact color. :P

Car brands that defined the era of the 90's(thats what I meant.) Acura lost its way in the late 90's when the Legend went away. Now Acura is starting to get back on track just in the last few years. Lexus I'll agree with you on.
