Subject: PLEASE READ-EVERYONE!

Written By: girl79 on 5/13/2000 at 6:29 p.m.

hi everybody! girl79 here. there are a few things i think need to be said (to some of you)

1. i would just like to say in my own defence that i AM living in the now, thank you very much! missing "the grunge years" and the topic of generational diffenences is only one aspect of who i am - if i wanted to discuss one of my MANY other interests i would go to another website!-hello this is "inthe90s.com!!" ps. i havent dressed "grunge" since high school + i listen to a wide assortment of music from yesterday and TODAY -i just happen to have a favorite type that is closest to my heart because it comes from the time period when i was most into music - okay? okay.

2. i admit (as i have already in other postings) that:(in girl79@020.co.uk) i might have sounded as if i hated everytime outside of my 80s childhood and early 90s teenage years but this is NOT the message i was trying to get across... the reason i came to this site is that on occasion, i get NOSTALGIC about these times so, (especially because i feel like my little group of twentysomethings has been forgotten by pop-culture lately(see other postings) which made me feel extra-alone w/my memories) i thought it would be fun to reminisce with someone else who had similar experiences-NOT to put down those who haven't, which brings me to my next point-

3. can we PLEASE stop fighting about whose favorite time period is better then everybody elses?........ sure everybody has a preference but that is based solely on personal opinion and experience. no matter how much we argue everyone will still just be attached to there favorite time accept they will be hurt and angry with those who have insulted it-every time has its good and bad points- can't we just agree to disagree? grunge kids- reminisce with grunge kids, late 90s lovers- reminisce with late 90s lovers, teenagers of the 80s reminisce with teenagers of the 80s,etc,etc, but please don't go lashing out at other groups.... this should be fun not hurtful!

love to all-

girl79
