Subject: digital cameras

Written By: yvonne on 7/17/2000 at 4:00 p.m.

i'm interested in learning about all of the ways use of the digital camera has evolved from its original intention. for example, let's say you bought your digital to use for special occasions, like vacations. now you find yourself using it all the time, like when friends come over or on the weekends. all stories and insights would be appreciated.

thanks vinnie for replying. sorry i'm such a novice but what is ICQ? and is this the original reason why you bought the camera, for taking self portaits or did you originally buy it for one purpose and ended up using it for self portraits as well?

ICQ (I-Seek-You) is an instant messenger service designed by Mirabilis. It predates just about all the others. Sorry, don't have a digital camera story, but I use ICQ a lot.

Thanks Goreripper (sounds painful)
I originally got the camera for work purposes...being in audiovisual...photographing staff and work etc.
Then the idea struck that you dont need to break a scanner lid trying to copy the face of a remote control (for staff operation guides)....now I zoom in...click...connect USB to the PC....d'load the image and crop/zoom etc, and add it into the ever-growing procedures manual!
