Does anyone know who wrote (and the name of the band) the song "I am Stretched on Your Grave" that Dead Can Dance and Sinead O'Connor covered?

Who wrote the song?

It was the text of a Frank O'Connor poem, and P. King (I assume of "Love and Pride" fame is given credit.) It had a James Brown "Funky Drummer" sample used in it. I can't find who did it before Sinéad O'Connor.

This is all the info I could find, not sure of any of it, but a good place to start.
