'Boom Boom Boom' by Outhere Brothers was pretty dreadful. The sanitised lyrics didn't help matters either.

I kinda like some of these myself. But I do agree with you about Puff Daddy; why couldn't he compose his own melodies?

Anyway, songs from the 90s that I consider to be bad:
- anything by the Cranberries
- any gangsta rap song

not really a bad song but not a great one either although it was original I guess...

Grunge IS suicide music;that's why it's so great!
It so much more honest than pop,rap,etc...
You can only get shivers when you listen to grunge cause it's pure, raw pain...
Still grunge doesn't have to be depressing: ever heard Touch Me I'm Sick by Mudhoney?Or Nirvanas Territorial P*ssings??
Don't be so shallow ::)

No, grunge was great ( and painful as well at times, nice to know someone out there has a crappier life than you do and is making money off of it ). The songs " A Horse With No Name " and " It's a Small World " ARE suicide music ( why call Jack Kevorkian when you have these choices? ). Worst song of the 90s? " The Macarana " PERIOD. Whoever kept requesting that should have been shipped to the artic circle to " play " with the polar bears ( that would be retroactive assisted suicide music )

I hated any songs by the Outthere Brothers, ESPECIALLY their number ones 'Don't Stop (Wiggle Wiggle)' and 'Boom Boom Boom'. Still, with this thread being on the 90s, we've got plenty of really crap songs to pick from, especially the late 90s (shudders)

The song you're thinking of was released in August 1999 - it's called Sexual. The singer's name was Amber. This was one of only two hits she had on her own - the other was released in March 2000 and was called "Above The Clouds." Amber was also in the group Stars on 54, who became a one-hit wonder in 1998 with a techno remix of Gordon Lightfoot's '71 hit "If You Could Read My Mind."
Hope this helps.

Here are my least favorite songs of each year of the 90's:

1990 - DNA & Suzanne Vega - Tom's Diner
1991 - Londonbeat - I've Been Thinking About You
1992 - The Cure - Friday I'm In Love
1993 - Billy Joel - The River Of Dreams
1994 - Crash Test Dummies - Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
1995 - Sophie B. Hawkins - As I Lay Me Down
Arguably the worst song in pop music (and maybe even human) history.
1996 - Merril Bainbridge - Mouth
1997 - Aqua - Barbie Girl
1998 - Semisonic - Closing Time
1999 - Len - You Steal My Sunshine

Does anyone remember a song by a band with weird hair...one of them had like a 3-foot-long fringe, and the song went something like "ooh ee ooh ah ah ping pang shama lama ding dong". No, I'm not stoned. I need to know the name of the song and the band...pretty awful song really. I think it takes the cake here.

One More Try - Timmy T

any song by Michael Bolton

I thought "I'll Be Your Everything" from Tommy Paige was chessey, but it was a great song.

I also liked Timmy T's "One More Try", but not as much as that Tommy Paige song.

"I Swear" by All 4 One! That song is a tubload of crap on the spot. I'm almost 14, but some songs from between 91' and 95' are pretty cringe worthy! How about the song that goes "I like to move it, move it"... that one is REALLY awful!

I've got to guilt-ishly (is that even a word?) admit to liking that one! I'm a sucker for thoe ultra-sickly sweet pop ballads. ;)

Overall I do agree that many of early to mid 90's songs are far cheesier than anything from the 80's (cheesy doesn't equate to bad necesarilly, since the 80s are my favorite decade!).

I think Manson's version was awesome, it was some hard rock that you could actually FEEL, and it had a killer beat

Basically any mainstream rap.

Seriously, I don't mind a bit of underground hip-hop (it's tolerable), but every mainstream song I've heard on the radio etc is pure tripe. C'mon, no one cares how many 'ho's' you scored with last week, or how much 'bling' you have, or how many times you were shot in the 'ghetto' (it's a hard life being a rich, upper class citizen of the USA... yeah right!) ...just go away!  :P

FYI: I wasn't trying to rile (sp?) you up by saying that if thats what you think.  ::)

Personally I don't care what music you like or don't like, I'm just putting out my opinion based on what I've heard. Of course the amount of rap/hip hop I have heard is only a small amount, probably less than 2%, so yes, it is a bit uninformed.
