Subject: songs of the early 90's...

Written By: erica on 05/18/04 at 8:39 pm

can anyone recommend some? particularly ones that were really popular in the summers of the early 90's (like up to 96). i just love listening to early 90's songs because theyre so nostalgic! so anyone know any? songs like "it's all been done" by the barenaked ladies, or umm... "black hole sun" by soundgarden. i already have all the nirvana songs, lol. songs that would be shown on like beavis and butthead, lol.

Listen to Some Songs by Swervedriver or Therapy, they are pretty cool bands that have songs in the early 90's

In general, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Faith No More and Stone Temple Pilots come to mind. On the R&B side, MC Hammer, Young MC, Vanilla Ice and Soul II Soul.

How's about some Madchester? Happy Mondays, Primal Scream, Stone Roses etc. XL recordings for some good ol' Techno...Tho' I doubt much of this appeared on Beavis 'n' Butthead, it certainly made up the soundtrack for a lot of the UK's early 90s. :D

Those sound like mid-90s songs to me. "Breakfast @ Tiffany's" was 1995; "Loser" was 1994; "Roll To Me" was 1995 as well. I remember them very well.

if you want some good aussie music then i would recommend "screaming Jets" and "powderfinger".

Silverchair are a good early 90's aussie band too.
