A CD-ROM with AOL 4.0,the version that introduced me to AOL and the internet,thanks to an old roommate and her trusty computer that she let me use many times...

I think I'll try one from each year that matters the most in the decade:
1990
An official video-cassette of the Simpsons
(Because the DVD's came out in the 2000's and besides, dvd's are more famous now than tapes were back then. Also, The Simpsons TV series lasted from XMas 1989 to the present)
1991
Flannel
(Because it best represents the grunge era)
1992
Sega CD
(Because it was a good system that boosted the video games of the decade into CD-ROM's)
1993
Thug Nation (gangsta rap cd)
(Because IMO, 1993 was a huge year for gangsta rap, though this mostly has stuff from the late 80s and the whole 90s)
1994
The Lion King original video-cassette
(It's Disney's biggest movie of the decade that put them back in the spotlight for a few years.)
1995
Skateboard
(Xtreme sports were massively popular around this time)
1996
Marvel Vs. Onslaught
(IMHO, the greatest comic book event of the decade)
1997
article on Dolly, the cloned sheep
(to show what technology's become by this part of the 90s)
1998

(since this lasted the whole year, why not?)

1) Pogs
2) Virtual Pets (Tamagotchi and all the spinoffs, Catz, Dogz, etc.)

I was able to save something from 1994. It was a Rugrat's marathon complete with commercials. It was uncovered in April of 2005.
I also obtain a few artifacts from the 90's like an old Windows 95 computer, N64, and for Christmas I might get a Super Nintendo and a Sega Saturn (My first video game console).
