1990-93 were my pre-teen years (actually I turned 13 in 1993), and I didn't listen to much music then, but there are some songs from that time that I like now. Such as...

"All Around The World" by Lisa Stansfield
"Hippychick" by Soho
"I Touch Myself" by the Divinyls
"Connected" by Stereo MCs

Too Many Walls - Cathy Dennis (I like this song.)

I like it too, but I haven't heard it in a while.

Am I the Same Girl - Swing Out Sister

Great song! 8)

I'll think of more later.

Actually, both songs were hits in 1990, but they were recorded in '89. And the first one is called "All Around The World" (although Lisa does sing "been around the world..."), and Mr. Nally mentioned it in his post above.

Some wicked choons there, Alice. One of the funniest things I ever saw was a bloke stood on a table outside a pub in Wales, giving a loud rendition of 'Tom's Diner' in Welsh to the assembled crowd...(don't know if you've ever heard Welsh spoken, but it's quite a funny-sounding language!)
I also noticed your signature line...This Corrosion, eh?

Glad you liked my choices, Goodsin! Yes, I've heard Welsh spoken and I do know it's a bit funny-sounding language already. I bet you fell off your chair when you saw that bloke standing on a table outside a pub in Wales giving a loud rendetion of that song in Welsh to the assembled crowd!  ;)
I love the song ("This Corrosion", 1987) and I bloody love The Sisters Of Mercy too. They had electronic/danceable influences in their sound amongst all others as well.

Yes, it was. It came out in July 1990 reaching #2 in the UK charts. It was a remake of the sametitled Suzanne Vega accapela song from 1987.

"Another Night" was from 1994, which does not fall in the range of 1990 to 1993.

All of Ace of Base's hits from The Sign/Happy Nation.
The album was originally released as Happy Nation in Europe in 1992 and
then was released in America remixed and tracks re-sorted as The Sign in 1993,
thus the copyright on the back of The Sign, "1992, 1993".
I know that the songs didn't get really big until 1994, but defending the copyright,
the music fits in the 1990-93 bracket.
I don't own the album, but I think the same can be said about Real McCoy's Another Night album, which
was also imported by Arista.
I know way too much about 90s music.  :o

No. Not at all. I've never even met the guy. Besides, he lives on the East Coast; I live on the West Coast.

By the way, about "Another Night", I was not aware of the release date in Europe; I just know that it was a big hit in the U.S. ten years ago this month.

One of my favorites is Sadeness Part 1 by Enigma, which came out in 1991.  That was a rather unique in that time period that had a really cool beat to it.  8)
