I needs some help, peoples.   :-\\
I've searched and found lyrics, but not who wrote the song. I always thought it was an original by GD, but a buddy at work swears it's a cover. He just can't remember who originally did it.ÂÂ
Any help? Thanx!  ;)

Looks to me like they wrote it.
But it appears to have been remade later (2001) by Chrisinti on a reggae album titled "The Tide Is High" or "Reggae Rocks". Check in CDNOW.
