Though "The Simpsons" were great until it's 8th or 9th season.
I selected "South Park", which is still funny, though with it share of 'bad episodes' like any show, since it's debut in 1997. :D
I occaisionally watch classic "Simpsons" episodes once in a while, :)

The Simpsons...especially in the early seasons.

I like both, though I like South Park more now. I loved the Simpsons up until now. It's getting stale somewhat.

I watch them both for different reasons.
But I would say they both rule... Simpsons is now fully pop-culture and South Park is satire.
Both have their place.

I like The Simpsons for the novelty factor and South Park because it's actually still funny.

The Simpsons. It's a classic. South Park is still OK, though. They're both kind of stupid, but that makes them even funnier.;D One reason I like South Park is because the creators are from Colorado, which is the only state I've ever lived in.;D Even better, one of them is from somewhere in Denver, I spent most of my life living in Aurora, which is the biggest suburb of Denver. :D. Cartman versus Bart Simpson would be hilarious. Cartman would definently win.

I hold to the belief that South Park killed The Simpsons, because then The Simpsons had to be stupid like South Park. I'm a massive OFF (Our Favorite Family) fan for before the 9th season or so, when it got horrible...corresponds roughly to when SP became popular. OFF was great because it had social commentary and brilliant humor rolled into one...the late '92-early '97 period was amazing. I think the real '90s started to die when OFF got bad.
SP is funny at times, but it's such junk, really, and it's tiresome. And I disagree with alot of the offensive stuff on there about GLBT groups...they claim to just be anti-PC but they're really just being prejudiced. SP is part of the reason it's acceptable to be prejudiced nowadays as long as you're claiming to just be "anti-PC." If you don't want PC, don't make there a need for PC.
