Subject: Funniest films of the 90's

Written By: eightiesfan on 01/26/05 at 12:58 pm

What do you think were some of the funniest films of the 90's?  Here are a few of my faves:

City Slickers (both the first and second)
Rushmore
Dennis the Menace
The Wedding Singer
In & Out

(I'll probably think of a few more later)

I can think of a few right now:

Sister Act
Beethoven
Liar Liar

(I'll probably think of a few more later too)

I'll give you guys City Slickers, The Wedding Singer, Liar Liar, & Sister Act, but I can't say I liked the others. And in the case of S.A., the sequel stunk!!!

Might I also include possibly my favorite comedy film ever, DAVE! Along with Mrs. Doubtfire & Down Periscope. Any others?

Your Pal,
Doc

I mentioned Rushmore in my first post, which starred Bill Murray - he also made two other great comedic films in the 90's:

What About Bob? and Groundhog Day

I also thought Wedding Singer was funny, but that one had been mentioned, so that's why I didn't put it.

Beethoven 2 had some funny scenes as well.

Groundhog Day is possibly the most annoying movie in the history of cinema.

Naked Gun was hilarious...those action movie spoofs were pretty funny in general. There was another movie - I forget the title - which starred Charlie Sheen and was a spoof on Vietnam War movies. It was a bit like Naked Gun, anyone have any idea?

Yeah that was called "Hot Shots: Part Deux", and was a spoof of Rambo III

The first Hot Shots was a spoof on Top Gun.  Both were great spoof films O0
