Subject: 90s 'physical/cultural landscape'

I'm always interested in the physical cultural landscape of a time period, be it 19-th century England, the 1970s or even the 1990s. Do you think the overall physical appearance of an urban area (in particular) has changed much since say 1995? I'm talking about the cars, houses, shops.etc. Ok, so it might be easy to tell the cars, and often houses haven't changed for decades but I'm saying, if you were a time-traveller from say, 1995, would you see a great change in fashion, the media.etc in between 1995 and 2005?
Also, culturally (music, society, fashion.etc) how do you see the present decade being most different to the 90s? Are the 90s more like the 80s or the 00s? Raises some interesting socio-cultural/historical questions.
