simpsons lost it's edge. i like south park better because swearing 8 year olds makes me laugh.

Sorry I had to vote The Simpsons.
I enjoy The Simpsons more than South Park. Simply because it doesn't just consist of swearing.
It also has better characters. The best being Snake... *yoink* !

The Simpsons gets my voite cause ive been watching that show for years i grew up with it it's a part of my life lol there not that good as they use to be but i can still watch it and lafe ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

The Simpsons without question.
Admittedly it peaked in the 1991-2001 time frame (especially around Season 5), but to put it shortly, I'm always in the mood for it. The characters are more relateable and we get to see them in countless funny situations. Sometimes it can be edgy, but it doesn't rely on that.
Now, to South Park's credit, there've been several episodes that were funny as heck, but you almost get the feeling they're trying just as hard to make a point or to offend someone than to actually make an enjoyable show. I have to be in a certain silly/goof off mode to watch it, whereas I don't for The Simpsons, if that makes any sense.
I also think it ushered in the 2000's culture on many levels - especially around 1998/99.

I've only seen a few episodes of South Park, so I'll vote for The Simpsons. They've been a family for like 18 years and I've been a fan for just as long :)

Simpsons.
The pastiches on old films/TV programmes are clever and funny. And Bart's prank phone calls to Moe's bar are hilarious.
"Can I speak to Homer please?"
"Homer who?"
"Sexual."
"Is there a Homer Sexual in the bar?"

The Simpson's is a show full of senseless humor with morals and values and then more senseless humor.
South Park is sensless humor, crude humor, offensive humor, and more senseless humor.
Both are good, but you get more out of the Simpsons.
