The song reached #45 in 1999.

That song came out when I was in college. I remember everyone "reflecting" on their life when it first came out. It really made people think about things that we had never thought twice about. Especially since we were at the point in our lives when we were "trying to find ourselves".  :P

One line that needs to be paid attention to today:

"Don't read beauty magazines, they'll only make you feel ugly."

Why are they still publishing them?

I kinda laughed when I heard that line. I felt similarly about another line:

"Don't mess too much with your hair, or by the time it's 40 it will look 85."

In Dutch Top 40, it reached nr. 29.  Underrated, IMO.
