I've spent all morning on google and ebay looking for the name of this toy, and I can't find it anywhere.
There were a series of small plastic dolls with hair you could comb and a little plastic crown. They each came in a snow globe-type container with the "snow" coordinating with that particular doll's theme (candy, snowflakes, sunbeams, flowers, etc.)

Did the little dolls favor My Little Pony, i.e. big blue eyes, bushy hair, not that they were ponies, but similar style faces, was that the style? Maybe Cabbage Patch Kids? I remember what you are talking about but forgot to ask my kid, sorry.
