I admit, the Spice Girls did have some decent music at the time and they were Extremely Popular. What I still remember the most from the Summer of 1997 was my Neighbor who was a Lesbian (but also watched me during the Summer because I was only 11 and could not stay home alone) took me over to her Friends House and they were 2 Gay Men and while I was in their house, they had the Spice Girls Album playing and they were just sitting at the table Making out like crazy while listening to "2 Become 1".  lol, I can't believe I still remember that  :D

Also in 1999, I remember it mainly for being the year I became a Die Hard WWF Fan

Yeah I remember "Believe" by Cher, Good Song

Also from 1997, the songs "Crash Into Me" by Dave Matthews Band and "Gotham City" by R.Kelly are somehow Depressing to me, they just sound like Sad Songs, maybe it depresses me because it reminds me of when I was happy as a kid in the 90's  :(

IMO, 1997 was the ultimate downfall of MTV with Hanson & The Spice Girls, not long until the debut of "TRL"...  :P

Was watching more VH1 in 1997  :)

1997 was cool though. I like "4 Page Letter" by Aaliyah, The Freshman by Verve Pipe, G.H.E.T.T.O.U.T by Changing Faces, Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind, Your Woman by Whitetown from 1997. I get noglastia from listening to "Sunny Came Home" by Shawn Colvin, and B*tch by Meredith Brooks.

I remember all those songs from 1999. They just played the same songs all the time. I admit being into "Genie In a Bottle". Its a guilty pleasure song for me. "summer Girls" by LFO is a guilty pleasure song for me too. I think its one of the best summer songs ever. Another guilty plasure is "If You Had My Love" by Jennifer Lopez. However her best song is "Again" which was never released as a single in the States. They used to play Cher and Ricky Martin all the time. Beautiful Stranger by Madonna and "Anywhere" by 112 I like from 1999. I remember that Donna Summer song but I didn't know it made it up that high up to #39 on the charts that year. Likewise for Def Leppard I do remember that song "Promises" up to #34 Wow! Jamairqui made it up to #31 in 1999 with "Canned Heat". I do remember hearing the song I think but its not the type of music I go for. They should stop calling him a one-hit wonder in the states since he hit big in 97 with "Virtual Insanity". He is only known for his song "Virtual Insantity" in the States. MTV and VH1 stop calling him a one-hit wonder now!

Other songs I remember from 1999:

Scar Tissue-Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Hanginaround-Counting Crows
When I Close My Eyes-Shanice
The Hardest Thing-98 Degrees(another guilty pleasure.)
What A Girl wants-Christina Aguilera
Its All About You-Tracie Spencer
Gorgie Porge-Eric Benet featuring Faith Evans
Never Let You Go-Faith Evans
So Anxoius-Ginuwine
If I Could Turn Back The Hands Of Time-R. Kelly
Miami-Will Smith
Learn To Fly-Foo Fighters
Desert Rose-Sting
The Dolphins Cry-Live
Down-Stone Temple Pilots

I listened to alot of music then.
