Subject: whats with mr.rogers and sweaters

okay i no this post is really random, but does anyone know why mr.rogers was always wearing sweaters.
a friend told me that it was because he had tatoes all over his arms and stuff. i mean, i guess theres a possability that its just really cold in mr. rogers neighborhood, but you never know.

I think it was the whole "persona" thing. He would change into his "lounging" clothes everyday on the show....his little sweater and sneakers....maybe it was just comfy for him.

yeah, i think he just likes them...
but speaking of mister rogers, i was just at the americanidol concert and thought that anwar robinson could take mister rogers' place. he's so nice and he's good with kids. what do you think? mr. robinson's neighborhood? ;)

The reason Mr. Rogers always wore sweaters is sort of why Captain Kangaroo wore the same red overcoat or Pee Wee Herman wore the same checkered suit - these are just fictional characters that help us become more familiar with them with they're clothing and personality. I loved Mr. Rogers. He was such a kind person.

Nah, I don't think anyone can replace the charm and kindness that Mr. Rogers had. I really miss him. I grew up with him in the 90s. RIP, Fred.

I heard that Mr. Rogers was in the Navy or something at one point, and had to wear the sweater to cover them up.

i remember when he made a guest appearance (as a cartoon, of course!) on arthur on pbs! that was a really cute episode! :)

i miss him. yeah i heard that navy story too. i also heard he had tatoos. i went to pbskids.org and it sayed that his mom made his sweaters.

Ahh Mr. Rogers, but i do know Captin Kangaroo Has lots of tatoos, that why Ck wheres jackets, but Mr.Rogers is just plain funny, because i used to like Mr.Rogers Niehborhood.
