Written By: TarzSp on 11/07/05 at 11:22 pm

(The new permanent rules are that you can now vote for only "2" songs at the most)

Also, i've added the exact Date that each song hit #1 for the very first time on the Top 40 Charts

This is a Poll, and on every one is going to be a list of all the songs that Reached #1 on the Top 40 Charts in America that year

Remember, this is the American charts, just so you guys aren't confused

Anyway, pick your favorite #1 Hit song from 1994

Not the best year for #1 hits  :(

Ditto

I chose "Without You" from Mariah Carey, which is better & more soulful than the original

Janet Jackson "Any Time, Any Place"...though I also like a very few others...

This was a great year. I had to widdle down my choices to two, and I chose "The Sign" because I loved Ace of Base, and "Stay" because that song was everywhere, and it was great. I could have chosen so many more.

My top pick would definitely have to be "The Sign" by Ace of Base. 8)

As a second favorite, I'd select "Here Comes The Hotstepper" by Ini Kamoze.

Imo, 1994 was a good year for music. Also, I experienced a lot of things that year. An earthquake, and having to live away from home for three months...going on a trip outside California for the very first time...and most notably, making the transition from middle (junior high) school into high school. Ah, the memories.

"The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" and "The Sign".

1994 was one of the best 90's music years - great widespread mix of R&B, pop, dance, classic rock, alternative and ballads.

"Wild Night" and "The Sign" were my picks - both alot of upbeat fun, proving (slightly) 80's styled rock, and dance, respectively, could still turn into a hit. :)

I like almost all the others too. Brings back alot of good memories (I was 12-13 then, and probably swore I'd never say that someday, LOL!).

I liked The Sign by Ace of Base. Listen to it closely and you'll notice that it's a roadgeek song. ;)

I chose "The Sign" and "Mr. Jones" as top, but I also loved "Stay" and anything else on the "Reality Bites" soundtrack.  Never liked Celine's version of "Power of Love"; I liked Laura Branigan's, which came out in '87 or '88 and never got as much play, better.
