Subject: Best Movie from 1999

Written By: TarzSp on 11/11/05 at 4:39 am

(The dates listed beside the name of the movie are the dates that those particular movies were Released in theaters)

I thought I would go ahead and do both of these Back-to-Back

Anyway, which movie from 1999 is the Best?  8)

It's a toughy for me, it came down to "The Sixth Sense", "American Beauty" and "Fight Club" for me, but I think i'm going to give the edge to "American Beauty".  It was a Great movie overall and even won Best Picture at the Oscars

My favourite movie of 1999 was Bi-Centennial Man starring Robin Williams.  It made me laugh, it made me cry, and in some parts made me smile :)

Honorable mention goes to Arlington Road  (SPOILER WARNING:  This one was great because how often does the bad guy actually win?)

other good ones:

Liberty Heights
The Bone Collector
Happy, Texas
Three Kings
Thomas Crown Affair

man. 1999, though no 1977, was a pretty good year for movies.

i voted for the matrix but "magnolia," paul anderson, came out in 1999, i believe. i think that movie's totally amazing.

Although I don't like the late 90's as much as, say 1992, alot of those were good. In fact, I started working at Blockbuster that summer, so they remind me of the early days there!

Office Space is the funniest, IMO. It's one of those where you don't even have to work in an office environment to get the jokes. I liked (1) the printer smashing scene, and (2) the part where - just when the boss was coming and he had to run - the computer started freezing/loading realllly slow. ;D

Oh, definitely The Matrix. Apart from being visually stunning, it created a whole world of its own, too.
