Subject: Help with a song?

Written By: ADH13 on 12/06/05 at 1:56 am

I know I have very little information so I don't really expect a response but I decided to post just incase it rings a bell for someone.

I'm trying to come up with the name/artist of a song from probably 1996-1998, it sounded like it could have been maybe Oasis, Radiohead or maybe even Collective Soul.  I think the chorus to the song contained the word "tonight" so it would likely be in the title.  I heard it again recently in a preview for a movie in a commercial... but by the time I could get to the TV to see what movie it was for, it was over.  The commercial was recent enough that whatever movie it was is probably in theaters now.    I know this is a longshot, but does anyone have a clue what I'm talking about??

I saw a commercial recently that had Phil Collins' "In the air tonight" but it wasn't Phil Collins singing it.  It sounded like Nickelback.

Thanks to both of you for your help... but that wasn't the one I was looking for.  I did finally find the song, and now that i know what it is, I think I was wrong about it being in a preview for a movie.  I think the one in the preview probably just sounded similar.

Anyway, it was "Tonight, Tonight" by Smashing Pumpkins.

Thanks again for your help though!
