Out Of This World??
That would be an 80's show though. The theme song was "Swingin' On A Star" and the girls name was Evie or Edie or something like that.

Yeah...that sounds like "Out Of This World" to me. The girl's name was Evie; she communicated with her alien father (Troy) by means of a mounted cube.
I enjoyed that show; I often wish I had those powers myself sometimes, especially the power to freeze time by sticking your index fingers together at the tips. :D
