Subject: Shawshank Redemption

I can watch this movie over and over and never get sick of it. Truly, in my humble opinion, one of THE best prison escape films of all. I am a big fan of Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman, and their acting was superb. Anyone who has not seen this movie, I highly recommend it.

This movie came out in 1994 when I was twelve, but I didn't see it until about 5 years ago. I really loved it. And I've been meaning to purchase the DVD because it's just one of those movies you should have in your collection. But, yes, it's a definite yes when it comes to recommending this film.

The scene where they first discovered Andy (Tim Robbins) had escaped was one of my all-time favorite plot twists.

Yes, a great scene in the movie, it then explains the whole method of Tim Robbins' character's madness, you could say, it was brilliant!

Sorry to ask but have you seen the TV show Prison Break?  The effect of tunneling out of the cell is the same but the motive is different of course.  I do like the tim Robbins Character in the movie, but  Morgan Freeman's character is his own person in any film!

Definitely, Freeman is a great actor, one of a kind. I like his narrating of the whole film as well as him acting in it.

Schindler's List
Forrest Gump
The Remains of the Day

Those are a few... but, there were a lot of great movies that came out in the '90s. I'm not saying Shawshank Redemption doesn't deserve to be on top, but there were just a few more that deserve to be there, too.

If you like Shawshank Redemption the you should also see The Green Mile

Both are Stephen King novels and there is plot information from one that relates to the other!
Shawshank so far is the only Stephen King movie (imho) that is 99.9% comparable to the novel!
(The Green Mile is second!) 8)

He had reason to be mad,he was found guilty w/o really any direct evidence!!

The ending was good!!
