My favorite is 'Old Man and Me'. I think thats what it was called. I havent heard anything from them in years. You should have included more songs in your poll besides their top 3 hits. By the way, their career has really went downhill. Not to long ago, they played at a tiny club in my town that seats only a 100 or so. I was shocked that they would play such a small place.

The only tolerable one was I Only Wanna Be with You. Sorry, I wasn't much in their camp.

I have to admit I liked them years ago, but now they don't do much for me.

However, I would've picked "Time" or "Only Wanna Be With You".

I like "Time" and "I Go Blind" (though IGB is a cover) the best.  "Hold My Hand" is good too.

I actually went to one of their concerts in the summer of 2003.  It was in an auditorium that can seat about 3000 people, and it was almost full.

My brother went to see them last fall at a casino, later that night he met 2 of the bandmembers, Mark Bryan (lead guitarist), and Dean Felber (bassist), and they signed his copy of their newest CD (which came out in August of 2005 I believe).  He thought it was awesome 'cause he's been obsessed w/Hootie since like '95, and this was the first he's met any of them.

It's good to see they released some new stuff. I was getting worried when I saw the lead singer on a Burger King commercial a year or two ago doing a jingle for their bacon cheddar ranch burger!!  ;D

Being the alt-rock geek I was during the height of Hootie mania, I can safely say I was *not* a fan. However, I've mellowed out a lot since then, so I can tolerate 'em these days. "Time" ain't a bad little ditty...

They had a number of hits:

Hold My Hand
Let Her Cry
Only Wanna Be With You
Time
Old Man & Me (When I Get To Heaven)
I Go Blind
Tuckers Town

I wonder why you only put three of their songs on the list. :-\\ The ones I typed in blue text are my faves.

Hold My Hand
my friend at work loaned me some cd's to take on Vacation up at Lake Tahoe, and I played Hold My Hand for the first time, and it became our theme song, well my theme song and everytime we got in the car to go somewhere I'd crank it up, was kinda funny.

For upbeat stuff, "I Go Blind", for ballads (and overall best song), "Let Her Cry".

I always thought their stuff sounded vaguely '80s, even like some classic rock. I mean that in a good way, of course. :)
