ok, so does any one else remember that super mario bros show with Capt. Lou Albano as Mario. It was half cartoon and half live.... ITs on DVD!!!  i don't think i'm the only one excited about this! i can't wait to get a copy, its going to remind me of when i used to wake up on Sat, morn at like 6am to watch cartoons. I watched it all the time.  The dude who played Luigi is the same guy who played the Bartender on "The Jeffersons" :)

It ran from 1989-1991.  For the type of show it was, that was a pretty good run :)

^ I  remembered watching it and remembered all 3 versions of the Super Mario TV series, namely the Super Show which was mentioned,  Super Mario Bros 3, and Super Mario World.

I remember those.  They had merged them with Captain N the Game Master in what was a full hour of fantastic cartoons 8)

To true Mario fans, the live acting series was nothing short of sacrilegious...

Well, not really, since Miyamoto failed to develop a proper character.
