I really think 1993-2000/'01 is the first epoch of the 21st Century, abstractly speaking. The magical era between the two Cold Wars where technology boomed, controversy and violence were everywhere, money was super-easy to make and we were afraid of and looking forward to Y2K. And when our president was a pimp.

The Clinton era was a very changeful time and a pretty good time compared to now. As far as how much Clinton had to do with that, well he was too busy seducing intern's to screw things up ;)

The Clinton Era is when boomers and their activism completed its maturation into something you discuss at the gourmet supermarket. The 21st century really started in alot of ways in 1983, and just got bigger through the '90s.
