Subject: Most 'Changeful' Year of the 90s (in different areas)

Musically: 1991, with Grunge, the emergence of Gangsta rap
Politically: Either 1991 with the official breakup of the USSR, 1993 with the various world conflicts, or 1997 with the Monica Lewinsky thing/death of Princess Diana/War in Kosovo
Fashion-wise: 1992-93: End of 80s fashion dominance, with more people wearing grungish clothing like flannel, torn jeans and sneakers
Socially/Culturally: Again, 1999: Beginning of a semi-00s worldview, not consolidated until after Sept 11
Technologically: Either 1995, with the emergence of the Digital Age, of 1999, with many technologies like DVDs, hi-end PCs, graphics cards really developing
