Subject: "Freedom" - George Michael (1990)

Written By: WalkerP20 on 07/19/06 at 12:24 am

Such a catchy song, and probably one of the best from 1990 (Lackluster year for music)

It was a pretty big hit and peaked at #8 on Billboard's Hot 100 in December 1990.  The music video was pretty cool as well (with hot supermodels and all  8)) and seemed a little ahead of it's time.  It was directed by David Fincher (Director of "Se7en" and "Fight Club")

Here's the video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSoezJJ4-H0

Anybody else like the song?

This song is actually called "Freedom 90".  The 90 was added to avoid confusion with his 1985 hit "Freedom" which he performed as part of Wham!

The neat thing about the video is that he tried to change his image.  You see several scenes of things from his 1987 Faith video such as the leather jacket being set on fire, and the jukebox exploding

At the time I like the record, but now for me it is an ordinary song.
