Subject: Please help this wannabe "retro 90s" teen

Written By: TheBlackGuy on 09/04/06 at 7:07 pm

Since I was born in 1990, I largely missed out on the grunge phenomonom (spelling?) of the early and mid 90s.  During the past two weeks, I have been searching for good grunge/post grunge artists to listen to. So far I have d/l-ed

Nirvana
Pearl Jam
Soundgarden
Stone Temple Pilots
Our Lady Peace
Bush
Foo Fighters
Lit
Live
Tonic
Blind Melon
Counting Crows
The Offspring (I don't care if people call them pop-punk, Self Esteem sounds like a carbon copy of "Smells Like Teen Spirit")
Alice in Chains
Garbage
Screaming Trees
Seven Mary Three
Tonic
Sponge
Silver Chair
Smashing Pumpkins
Creed

am I missing anyone else?

Good list, some of those bands aren't really grunge per se, more like '90s hard rock/alt rock (The Offspring is a little of a few different styles, IMO). Although they'd probably all appeal to a grunge fan. I'd also add STP and Candlebox.
