Written By: WalkerP20 on 09/19/06 at 4:03 pm

In the poll is the exact age of the artist(s) when they started out

"Kris Kross" were only 13 when "Jump" was released in 1992

Aaliyah was only 15 when her first hit song was popular in 1994

Monica was only 14 when her very first single "Don't Take It Personal" hit #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1995

Brandy was only 15 when her first song was popular in 1994

"Silverchair" (Rock Group from Austrailia) were only 15 when they debuted and had a couple of hit songs in 1995

Britney Spears was only 16 when she filmed the Music Video for "Hit Me Baby One More Time"

Mandy Moore was only 15 when her first song was hit in 1999

Usher was only 15 when his first hit was released in 1994

The reason I didn't include him was because I thought he didn't debut until 2000 or 2001, or atleast wasn't relevant until then

His first hit in america was called "Aaron's Party (Come Get It)" which peaked sometime in Late 2000, even that wasn't that big.  Just for the kids

Any of the stuff he did before 2000 was all in the UK

Doesn't mean he should be excluded from the list.  Not all music has to be in the US Top 40 to be considered a hit  ::)

Which is why I put "Other" as an option.  I only put up the most relevant artists in the poll.  Aaron Carter didn't make a splash anywhere during the 90's

You're a little too obssessed and specific when it comes to these kind of topics, and you always seem to get somewhat angry about it when your really not even correct in the argument  ???  Don't you think that makes me a little irritated as well?

And you'll have to excuse me if I don't know many of the popular artists happening in the UK.  I happen to be from America and these are the artists I happen to know.  This is the main reason I put "Other" as an option.  Now chill out man

How dare Aaron ruin a Jets classic!  The little upstart! ;D

BRANDY
for me is outstanding! One of the few "current" artists I still buy. Her "Never Say Never" album in 99 was perfection... almost every song a winner! Even her last album was pretty up there.
