I like 7th Heaven and Second Noah. :)

I'd have to go with 7th Heaven.  Most of the others were dysfunctional families ;D

I had to go with Roseanne. The first TV sitcom that I can recall dealing with the real life BS that surrounds a lot of people. Even the arguments were funny.

Married With Children gets my vote.

I had a good childhood.  Mom and Dad loved each other while I was growing up.  They still love each other. They're still married.  Go figure.  Didn't stop me from observing my less-fortunate friends' families in childhood (and my even less-fortunate married friends in adulthood!) and as a result of my observations, from praising all Deities, real or imagined, for the Wisdom that is Al.

"So you think I'm a loser? Just because I have a stinking job that I hate, a family that doesn't respect me, a whole city that curses the day I was born? Well, that may mean loser to you, but let me tell you something. Every morning when I wake up, I know it's not going to get any better until I go back to sleep again. So I get up, have my watered down Tang and still-frozen Pop Tart, get in my car with no upholstery, no gas and six more payments to fight traffic just for the privilege of putting cheap shoes on the cloven hooves of people like you. I'll never play football like I thought I would, I'll never know the touch of a beautiful woman, and I'll never again know the joy of driving without a bag on my head. But I'm not a loser. 'Cause despite it all, me and every other guy who'll never be what he wanted to be, are still out there, being what we don't wanna be, forty hours a week, for life. And the fact that I haven't put a gun to my mouth, you pudding of a woman, makes me a winner!"

- Al Bundy, speaking truth to power in "He Thought He Could" (episode 302)

The best family shows are the ones that stop the problem before it starts.

No problem generally means no story!
BTW star, as much as I love 7th Heaven, I think you left Home Improvement off the list.

... Married with Children.

I think I've seen every episode. I watched it heavily in 1992 and got caught up in it quite a bit.

I would have to say "Step by Step" maybe or "Family Matters."

I'd have to go with Roseanne...no, it wasn't exactly politically correct, problems were not exactly resolved by the end of the episode, and it didn't sugar coat the issues that the show dealt with. What the show was (at least up until the last couple of seasons) was a pretty realistic depiction of a working class family...lol I remember watching the show especially in the early seasons and laughing my @$$ off because we had the same afghan on our couch for what seems like forever!!!

GOOD TIMES!

Also, I remember "The Wonder years"  (I think thats the show's name) Me and my bros and sis used to watch it in the 90's.

Family Matters; solely because the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog was on it.
