Subject: Weren't slacker/rocker duos big in the '90s?

Written By: Marty McFly on 06/02/07 at 11:44 am

Doesn't it seem like it was a huge thing in movies and shows in the 1989-1997/'98 time to feature two slightly different, yet like-minded friends who hung out together? Usually, they were into rock or heavy metal-esque music (whether classic rock, hair metal or grunge, lol) and got into trouble here and there, but were ultimately good guys.

Think about it: Bill and Ted, Wayne and Garth, Beavis and Butthead, Jay and Silent Bob. ;)

Do Harry and Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber count?   ;D

ETA: Then again they were more slackers than rockers.  :P

^ Yeah I forgot about Harry and Lloyd, that's a perfect example. They're almost like a real life Beavis and Butthead in a way, lol (I could see them being rocker-types, although they never showed it).
