The 90's aren't exactly my favorite decade, but I'd never say they "sucked".

Every decade has it's bad parts, but the '90s were certainly not the worst of them. I have a lot of good memories from the '90s, one being that I met the man of my dreams the last year of that decade :0)  :)

I don't hate the 90's, but it wasn't my favorite decade. There were plenty of good, bad, and weird moments in the 90's.  :)

In Canada, she also fell out of the (at the time) one hit wonder status that plagued her in the States by scoring a Top 40 hit on the Canadian chart with 'Caribbean Blue'.  The Christmas EP also got to #2 in Canada in 1997, and re-charted in the Top 10 in 1997 and 1998. My favourite: 'Anywhere Is' also charted, but it fell outside of the Top 40 :(

i'm sure people in the 70's thought the 60's were lame, people in the 80's thought the 70's were lame, etc....probably because they didn't have a very good perspective on the eras before yet.

i used to think the 90's were lame, too....but i grew to really like the era when i became obsessed with music.....alot of good music was released in the 90's, especially R&B.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Usually the previous decade is always considered to be campy/cheesy/uncool in the current decade. But I try to be more open minded about stuff like that, I can think of songs I like from pretty much every decade from the '50s to today.

The '60s (from what I've gotten the impression of) had kind of a half-presence during the '70s. Like it might not have been as relevant or cool, and some stuff was probably lost on the youth of the time...but it was so influential people didn't exactly "hate" it either.

For instance, in That 70s Show, I've often noticed Eric wearing, say a Doors T-shirt, and the show takes place c. 1975 and later. You get the impression either he liked those mid-late '60s bands when he was younger and still held onto being a fan (despite getting into the newer stuff of course), or got into it kinda secondhand. That's probably close to the reality of how things really happened, based on people I've talked with.

The same relation to the '90s seems kinda true now.

P.S. I wouldn't take anything this MelTinpot person said too seriously. ;D

Yeah but I don't think the 00's is as good as the 80's or 90's and I did experience the 80s as a kid and the 90's as a teen.
