Suprisingly, Beastie Boys' "Sabotage", the best video of the year, isn't #1. Though I like "Basket Case", "Longview" is better. "Black Hole Sun" is probably Soundgarden's best video. Also like "Fantastic Voyage" from Coolio (all the people getting out of the back of the car  :D ).

The Aerosmith Alicia Silverstone videos were/still are overrated, IMHO.

Though at the time, I was more into "Power Rangers" & "Animaniacs"

I'm feeling a little confused about The Cranberries. I remember the song Dreams, but it's hard to remember how it goes.

i always thought Linger would have a higher spot.

Didn't dreams go something like
"Oh my life is changing every day, in every possible way"?

Or was that Linger?

I basically agree with that list. I like alot of those songs, probably 2/3 of them or so I was digging at the time (just about everything except for hip hop and the harder grunge).

I liked Boyz II Men, Mariah Carey, Ace of Base, Aerosmith, Lisa Loeb, Toni Braxton, "Wild Night" and "Baby I Love Your Way" especially. Even the few I'm not crazy about belong on the list, since it represents 1994 really well.

The music videos were good then, even if it wasn't as narrative and cheesy as the '80s/early 90s were - they were still storytelling but tended to be darker.

Weezer's "Buddy Holly" also should've been on the top 10. Especially how the band looks as if they were in "Happy Days"
