It's hard to choose, as when it comes to those two songs, I always lump them into a tetralogy, as there were two other square dance themed dance hits out around the same time ...

From your poll, I'd go with 'Swamp Thing', but over all, I would pick 'Everybody Gonfi Gon' by 2 Cowboys.  Still love that track!

Of the given two, I have to go for Swamp Thing.

Thanks whistledog. I had heard "Everybody Gonfi Gon" a couple of times back then and forgot all about it. I had never heard of the "Square Dance Song" until now.

Well, if it's going to be that kind of party, let's break out the other traditional instrument to make an appearance in techno:

Bagpipes!

 - Yakoo Boyz, "Up Yer Kilt (Vocal Radio Edit)", and yes, that's Scotland the Brave.

Also...

82TU1tGDGMs

 - Krid P, "Bag Pipes"

I don't think bagpipes and banjos have ever been mashed up together, and yes, that is a challenge.

Dang, I didn't know Yakoo Boyz made it out of Canada.  I remember 'Pipe Dreams' like it was yesterday.

Another vote for "Swamp Thing".  Here's my entries for Square Dance Rave:

Although I'm not able to rise to the challenge at this time, another Bagpipe techno track for which I can't find a clip for is "Pipedream" by Level 16 from 1996.  I have that on vinyl for some reason.
