Was the late 90's teen-pop trend in Canada as big(popularity wise) as it was in the US from 1997-2000?

Teen pop was HUGE in Canada.  BSB, Spice Girls, 98 Degrees, N'Sync, Britney, Christina, et al.  What you guys had in the US, we listened to in Canada.  It didn't dominate the radio waves in the late 90s, but it rivaled the alternative bands.  Also, being so close to the border, not only did we listen to what was popular in the US, we had teen pop artists that were not seen outside of Canada.  As you can see by these 5 at random and the heights they peaked, we sure did love our teen pop ...

Even the veterans of teen pop naming Jordan Knight and Joe McIntrye had released solo albums that were immensely popular in Canada.  Those of us who were old enough to remember New Kids on the Block were scooping up those solo albums like gangbusters.  :)
I'm almost embarrassed to say that I picked up Nick Carter's solo album in 2002.  I picked it up at Wal-Mart which was a horrid mistake on my part because it had been censored and I was a bit disappointed by that because I was expecting to get a clean and uncut version of Now or Never and I didn't get that.  :(

LOVE that song! Rediscovered it about 5 years ago after not hearing since at least 2000 before that. Let's not forget "Faded":

Yeah.  I don't remember why it is they changed the name of the band.  Probably because someone else already had the name Indecision?

It was a name conflict yes.  The name Indecision was already an existing punk band from the States
