Subject: Goosebumps

The recent Goosebumps movie that came out last fall seems to have spiked interest in the series, which is a good thing because Goosebumps had seemingly become somewhat forgotten over the last few years. For those that may not remember, Goosebumps was massively popular back in the '90s, so much so, that the series even had it's own Saturday morning live-action adaptation on Fox. Before Pokemon cards, Goosebumps books were what kids collected (along with Pogs) back in the mid '90s. It was sort of like a more "boy-friendly" version of the Baby-Sitters Club and Sweet Valley High books. Even if you never actually got around to reading them all, kids traded these things on the playground like contraband.

Yes, you read that right, kids were actually trading books with each other during recess. In hindsight, that seems more than a little weird. ;D

Anyways, out of the original 62 books, these are the ones that I still have in my collection all these years later:

#1: Welcome to Dead House
#2: Stay out of the Basement
#3: Monster Blood
#4: Say Cheese and Die!
#5: The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb
#8: The Girl Who Cried Monster
#13: Piano Lessons Can Be Murder
#14: The Werewolf of Fever Swamp
#16: One Day at HorrorLand
#19: Deep Trouble
#25: Attack of the Mutant
#31: Night of the Living Dummy II
#35: A Shocker on Shock Street
#42: Egg Monsters from Mars
#43: The Beast From the East
#44: Say Cheese and Die - Again!
